Welcome To Our Vineyard

Before Pocohantas, John Smith, the Jamestowne Colony,  Plymouth Rock and the Pilgrims, and the settlers of Sir Walter Raleigh's colony at Roanoke, North Carolina were enjoying wine ( the first American wine) made from muscadine and scuppernong grapes. These indigenous fruit grew in abundance all around them.

These unique grapes, found only in the southeastern United States, make a unique wine. A wine which had nourished our nation from the earliest settlement to the present.

Our muscadine and scuppernong grapes are grown on land located between the Neuse and Pamlico rivers and granted to colonists from the Bennett family by King Charles II. Our recipes and techniques emulate those early colonists. It is our promise to our customers that Bennett Vineyard Wines will give you a true taste of our American Colonial experience.

Our wines are sold in Harris Teeters stores, specialty shops, and at local farmer's markets in North Carolina. We also offer nationwide shipping of our wines. Our wines range from semi-sweet to dry. We have whites, reds, and a variety in between.

The Muscadine and Scuppernong grapes are native to this region. Other regions are now attempting to grow these delicate grapes, of which we offer consulting services to start vines.

We would enjoy having you visit us or call us for more information on our wines.
